Tresco's bat Empty Tresco's bat

Post by liam_sccc Sat Feb 23, 2008 10:32 am

i went to taunton today for an open day with all the new kit were i picked myself up an aero grip.

i picked up a GM catalyst original LE and thought this is nice then look at the handle and it said 'banger' it was one of trescothick's actual bats that he will use this season,

it had 14 straight grains and was about half heartwood
2lbs 12oz but picked up like 2lbs 7oz
thick toe and shoulders with a mid-low middle

and he actually did some of the making himself

it was such a lush bat.

he was just walking around talking to everyone and throwing balls about!

Hope Phililp dont mind me copying this over!:

The
Aero BatGrip is specially selected from advanced materials. Designed
& tested to increase grip during use, reducing uncontrolled bat
rotation thereby increasing your ball control and hitting power. It
gets stickier when it gets hot and when it gets damp - ideal for
cricket.

We've been testing a variety of grips like this for several years. The feedback from our test players has been very positive.

The grip substantially reduces glove abrasion and should increase the life of your gloves.

As
you can see, it's available in black, white, blue, red, green &
yellow. The black grip has white stitching. The white grip has black
stitching.

It is a wind on grip and you don't need any tools,
cones etc to fit it. You wind it on one way if you are right handed and
the other if you are left - so that the ridges dovetail with your
fingers.

Reminds me of a badminton grip. Looks good, was it hard to put on?

Plus you dont get all the hastle of putting it on because it looks a simple task of wrapping it around the handle like on a badminton racket.
