Different Weight Bats?
What are the different advantages of using different weight bats?
I've always felt more comfortabnle using a lighter bat!
How about everyone else?

Re: Different Weight Bats?
I prefer a middle weight bat (2lb
Most openers use light bats as they face very fast bowlers and need to move very fast!

Re: Different Weight Bats?
Graeme Smith uses a very heavy bat and opens. And Sachin is a top order batsman with a heavy bat.
Use what feel bests to you, don't just buy a bat because you think you or someone on a forum said you should go for that weight.

Re: Different Weight Bats?
I would say minimal difference in power marcus...
If you think about it,
a 2lb 5 bat is easy to move so huge bat speed equalling power
a 2lb 12 bat is hard to move but will usuall have more power with the weight of the bat behind it.
So they balance each other out!
