The Spry Catcher

Post by liam_sccc on Sun Mar 23, 2008 6:36 pm

has anyone used one of these? we used one yesterday (sunday) at district and they are very good for practising slip and close catching. basically you stand it up at an angle and the feeder stands at the 'bowlers' end and throws the balls at it so it hits the side panels at different angles. we had keeper, 4 slips, 1 gully and a wider person at point. i highly recommend them if you can afford the 350 price tag. here is the link. http://www.sprycatcher.com/

I've got in trouble for comments on these before so I'll try to keep it clean. Whilst they work fairly well, the idea is not the most original (although sometimes the simplest ideas are the best) and the cost could be seen as excessive

I agree with Evo you could make your own at a fraction of the cost.

Maybe because a batsmen cannot edge it all the time, and this would be a lot more reliable.
The 350 is a bit too much though isn't it!
