Reasonable asking price for this bat?
USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
I am looking to sell my MB Malik Gold cricket bat. It has been used for a season, but no serious damage and still pings nicely.
Has antiscuff fitted along with toeguard,
Has 12 straight grains, 29mm edges and a big middle.
Bought for 100 quid from Basil last season.
I am open to reasonable offers, either PM me or post in this topic.
PICTURES ARE A FEW POSTS DOWN.... and higher quality ones are available if needed.
ALSO, I AM GIVING AWAY MY MB MALIK BAT COVER, WHICH I GOT WITH THIS BAT, FOR FREE!! IN SHOPS THESE ARE HARD TO FIND AND SELL AT £10. (INCLUDED IN PICTURE OF KIT BELOW)
THANKS

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
I'm sure your initial reactions are, its a little more "used" than I thought. In fact, the bat itself is in good nick, its the antiscuff and GN "Bat Vax" which need to be replaced, this is simple and can be done by yourself. I would then advise a good sanding and oiling. Apart from that, the pick up is still great, still really pings and has the best middle in a bat I have played with. The reason I am looking to sell, is as you can see, i have bought myself a Ca Plus 8000, which from now on, will be my "match bat", demoting this one to "net bat" which i dont really need. Im open to reasonable offers. I am not desperate to sell, as it is a good bat, and will want a good offer for me to part with it.

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
let him know, as you can see from the picture, signatures are authentic. I would also like to inform you that this bat still plays well, as "pingy" as ever!!

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
Yeah ive seen the bat, but i really dont like the way you have wrote on the names of the players who have signed i. Sorry. But as a memorabilia collector myself I would say around £35-45 is a good price for that bat in that condition. A refurb would maybe bump that up to nearer £55-65 maybe £70

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
danny. if i were to sand off the names i have written below the signatures, would that appeal to you? I would appreciate you voting in my poll.
And yeah, with a small amount of work on this bat, it is easily worth £70, with the bat cover. I am not really an expert on doing this removal of antiscuff so thts y i am reluctant to do it, but if someone was to buy it, who had done it before, it could turn into a bargain.

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
Thanks Danny, if you were buying, would you be happy to do the small things needed to bring this bat back its best? Like the antiscuff removal? Or would you simply buy it for the signatures?

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
I have decided to take the bat to fusion sports and I will have a complete refurb done on it. I will put up pics asap. The price of the bat will now be around £70, as it is basically brand new again.

Leo, a refurb is about £25, so...
Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
Thanks for advertsing the bat on FACricket but its not my cup of tea thanks, I do not think it has enough potential to be worth £70 but thanks anyway. Good luck with selling!

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
I don't think Fusion will put their stickers on it if it wasn't a Fusion bat to start with. Might be wrong but I doubt it.

Re: USED MB MALIK GOLD CRICKET BAT
Fair enough. I heard they were tightening up on putting their stickers on other bats because of fear of fakes.
