Leg glance.

New season, and I need to work more on my batting. The shot I have most problems with is the leg glance. I dont seem to get a proper step towards the ball.

Really dont knnow where i'm going wrong.

Dont try to hit the ball too hard to start with. Build yourself up. When I was learning I started by just defending the ball into the legside and gradually putting more force into the shot but maintaining the same shape and technique. Hope that helps Dan!

As Mr cricket said... Start with little pushes into the leg side gradually practice hitting finer and finer until you are wristily flicking the ball down to fine leg like Lara!

And also remeber to get your head over the ball so that you dont hit it in the air.

dont get too far away from the ball. top edges will happen. i got out by being too far away and skyed it to square leg

Don't try and hit the ball too hard, just let it run off an angled blade.

i never really get the right balls to play the leg glance allways to far down leg to play it
