Re: Discounts
I got a good discount from Aero, NOT 50%,as Reeps7 has said, but not far off that - buying pads, bag and strippers soon!

county and above will get a good discount from smaller retailers
Club cricketers will be likley to be offer a "package"
I disagree....
It shouldnt matter what level of cricket you play. I look for loyal people to my brand and they are the people who will go out of their way to give redback cricket something back.
I 'fully' sponsor a few players that play a very low level of cricket. These guys ALL paid full price for kit and off their own back promoted my brand through showing it off to team mates, opposition, friends, etc. When they came back to me for new kit, i gave it to them, because they deserved it - they didnt ask.
To many people think they 'deserve' sponsorship because they play at a certain level, but most are only out for number 1 - they dont care whos kit they use, as long as they get the biggest discount to brag about.
Also, think about how good a % discount is. If a company has a high RRP, they can afford to give big discount - but that might not actually be a better deal than someone who prices fairly and gives a smaller discount.

Couldn't agree more, and do similar myself. I'm more than happy to help out cricketers of any ability, providing they give something back. Wether they do it intentionally or not.........
Like you say its very easy to have a unrealistic RRP then "wow" people with a big discount (just look at all the sofa shop adverts!!), I hope that my customers, and yours, can see through this though!......
