Has anyone got any tips on how to move forard as unless i make a consious effort to get forward i stay still and just play from where i stand

Do a few drills where your coach throws a few balls at you and you have to catch it will all your kit on, infront of your pads.

Under arms incourage forward movment rather then throw downs, they tend to encourage back foot play.
