Post Boosting
I read this forum often but the amount of post boosting is beginning to get slightly on my nerves, there seems to be many posts just there to increase people's post counts. Not sure if it's just people trying to increase their counts in order to get member of the month or just because they're bored. I was looking at one member who hardly had a post more than 7 words!
Is there anyway to stop this happening because for me it's beginning to ruin what's a decent forum. Maybe encourage useful posts by only awarding member of the month to "good" posters or something?

Re: Post Boosting
I see what you mean Tom. I dont think its the Member Of The Month award because both people who have won this have not only posted a lot of posts but also good quality posts. I dont think the situation is too out of hand at the moment but I will be monituring it closely.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Post Boosting
Yeh it's not too bad at the moment, but I think it's probably first to nip it in the bud before it begins to get out of hand.
It's no problem if members think before they post, this forum isn't the only one with the problem mind.

i Feel This Thread Should Be Closed, As Any Comments Posted In Reply To It (Including This One), Have No Real Relevance To Cricket(The Main Purpose Of This Forum) So They Could All Be Considered Post Boosting!

Re: Post Boosting
Why? Just because something isn't related to cricket doesn't mean it's post boosting, it's post boosting if it's pointless and bears no real relevance. This topic is for suggestions, and what did I do? I made a SUGGESTION!!!
This topic is useful and hopefully the post boosters will stop it. And Liam if you believe I'm posting why have I never celebrated a number e.g 300 posts I don't care about how high a post count is. If I did why would I have moved my post count down from 12,000 to 100 on another forum?

Re: Post Boosting
I wasn't directly criticising you, But i feel all that can be said about Poist Bossting has been said... i.e Don't Do It!
The more we talk abou this and that etc and wether certain people are or certain posts are etc etc.... The more we are doing it!
Thats my opinion, so please don't simply tell me i'm wrong!
